What happens to the data you type into a tool
Nothing. Every barcode and QR code on this site is generated entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The text, numbers or URLs you enter are never sent to our server or anywhere else; there is no server-side processing involved in generating a code.
Analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused measurement tool that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites. It tells us aggregate information such as which pages are visited and how a page performs, and nothing that identifies you personally.
Advertising
This site is funded by display advertising. Once advertising is enabled, ads will be served through Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar technology to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control ad personalisation through Google's Ad Settings.
Cookie consent banner
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept or reject ad-related cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie itself, so we don't know who you are, only what you chose. You can change your choice any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
Downloads
The barcode scale-test sheet is a static PDF download. Downloading it does not transmit any information beyond the standard request your browser makes to retrieve the file.
