Can you generate a QR code directly in Adobe’s apps?
Adobe Express has a built-in QR code generator; the older desktop apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) do not, and expect you to place an image instead. For those, the usual workflow is generating the code elsewhere as an SVG or PNG, then importing it as you would any other image asset.
Why generate the SVG separately?
An SVG stays crisp at any size, which matters more for print than for screen. Placing a vector QR code into InDesign or Illustrator means it won’t blur or pixelate no matter how large the final print run gets.
