Canva QR code generator

Canva can turn a link into a QR code as part of a design, or you can skip Canva entirely and generate a plain, downloadable QR code below.

How do you make a QR code in Canva?

Add a QR code element from Canva’s own QR code app, then link it to your URL. Open a design, go to the Apps panel in the left sidebar, search for “QR Code,” and add it to your page. Paste the destination URL when prompted and Canva generates the code as a design element you can resize and reposition like any other object.

Why would you use a separate generator instead?

Because Canva’s QR code is tied to a design, and you may just want the file. If you need a QR code to drop into a spreadsheet, a listing, a label file, or anywhere outside Canva, generating it directly gives you a plain SVG or PNG with no design software required to open or edit it.

Higher error correction survives more damage or a logo overlay, at the cost of a denser code. M is a safe default for most uses.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Does Canva’s QR code expire?

Not the way you might expect, but the details matter. See whether Canva QR codes expire for the full answer before you print one somewhere permanent.

Every QR code generator on this site links back to the main QR code generator for the full set of options.
