What is an FNSKU?
Amazon’s own identifier for a unit of inventory inside its fulfillment network, distinct from your product’s UPC or EAN. It exists so Amazon can track which specific listing an item belongs to once it’s inside an FBA warehouse, separate from the retail barcode already on the packaging.
Where do you get an FNSKU label?
From Seller Central, per listing, when you create an FBA shipment. Amazon generates a printable label with the correct FNSKU, and that’s what should go on the unit, not a barcode built from a number you picked yourself.
When would you use this site’s generator instead?
Only to re-encode an FNSKU value Amazon has already given you. For example, printing a replacement label after Seller Central’s own PDF got damaged or lost, with the exact code copied from your account.
